Renewables Asset Manager UK

Due to our continued expansion in the UK, we are looking to add a skilled renewables asset manager to our team. This is a hybrid role, with a primary base in Motherwell/Perth, and will involve working remotely (from home or a remote office) after an initial onboarding period. We are looking for someone who has the following skills and experience.

Desirable Attributes

  • Previous experience in wind energy

  • Consulting engineering background

  • Formal engineering and/or health and safety qualification

Key Responsibilities

  • To monitor and coordinate the operation of customers’ wind farms to ensure that they are operating safely, effectively and efficiently.

  • To ensure a safe culture for work at windfarms and oversee compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • To analyse SCADA and other data to identify opportunities to increase the energy output of wind turbines and other renewable energy installations.

  • Precise record-keeping of all operational events, including maintenance, statutory inspections, and unplanned events.

  • Produce detailed, accurate monthly reports for each managed asset.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, managing contractual obligations, and mitigating potential risks.

  • Organise and attend meetings with all stakeholders for each managed asset.

  • To carry out wind turbine inspections and produce subsequent technical reports.

Experience, Skill
& Ability

  • Good technical knowledge of wind turbines & other renewable technologies

  • Ability to travel to remote windfarm sites and climb and inspect wind turbines

  • Excellent project management abilities

  • Experience in implementing, operating and auditing safe systems of work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel

  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety on Renewable Asset Sites
